Jesus suffered a knee injury while representing Brazil at the 2022 World Cup, which kept him out of action for much of last season’s second half.

The Brazilian striker returned at the end of last season and quickly regained form, scoring six Premier League goals for the Gunners after his return.

However, Jesus is about to have a knee procedure that will put him out of action for a few weeks.

Keys blasted Arsenal for the way they have handled the 26-year-old striker’s injury.

He slammed the Gunners for allowing Jesus to, in his words, party all summer instead of pushing him to get knee surgery.

Keys wrote on Twitter: “Amazing.

“How has Jesus been allowed to party all summer and only now go for knee surgery which will rule him out of the first few weeks of the season?

“And it was an existing injury that they knew about at Arsenal.”

It remains to be seen how soon the Brazilian striker recovers from his knee operation, with next season just around the horizon.

Arsenal are set to face Manchester City in the FA Community Shield on 6th August, before starting their Premier League campaign against Nottingham Forest on 12th August at the Emirates Stadium.
