Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has made it clear that Maguire has fallen down the pecking order and is free to leave Old Trafford for the right price.

The Hammers manager David Moyes is an admirer of the Red Devils defender and the clubs agreed on a deal worth £30m for the Maguire.

Maguire though has been facing a big pay cut if he leaves Manchester United for West Ham and the defender’s move is currently not going ahead.

However, Fjortoft stressed that the Hammers could still sign Maguire and the Red Devils could also secure Benjamin Pavard from Bayern Munich.

“Maguire to West Ham can still happen – as can Pavard to Manchester United”, the former Premier League frontman posted on Twitter.

Manchester United have targeted Pavard and Nice’s Jean-Clair Todibo this summer, however, they are looking to offload the former Leicester City defender first.

Now it remains to be seen if the defending Europa Conference League winners will come back to take Maguire in the upcoming days.
