Elvedi is in the final year of his contract and has been heavily linked with a move away from Gladbach in the ongoing transfer window.

He has had suitors in the Premier League where Wolves are amongst the clubs who are believed to be interested in the defender.

Elvedi has also been a target for Everton and the Merseyside club have been expected to try and sign the defender before Friday’s transfer deadline

However, according to German outlet Fussball Transfers, Everton’s interest in the defender has cooled.

The Toffees are no longer actively trying to sign the Swiss centre-back ahead of the end of the window.

Everton seem to have other priorities and are looking at other targets in the final three days of the window.

A few other clubs are still in talks to sign him but Elvedi is now expected to continue at Gladbach beyond Friday’s transfer deadline.
