The 43-year-old Italian was brought into the club by former Tottenham football director Fabio Paratici last year.

He had previously worked as the chief scout at Watford and Udinese and was the head of academy coaching at Fiorentina.

Paratici left Tottenham earlier this year but Gabbanini stayed on in his role as the Tottenham chief scout.

He worked with new Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou during the last summer transfer window.

The Italian played a key role in the recruitment Tottenham carried out at the end of last season.

However, he has left his role as the club’s chief scout after Tottenham decided to part ways with him.

Daniel Levy has been carrying out changes in the background at Tottenham since Paratici’s exit to revamp the football structure.

It seems Gabbanini’s exit is part of Spurs chairman’s vision to reorganise things behind the scenes.
