Doak, 17, joined Liverpool from Celtic permanently last year and has already made some senior appearances for the Reds.

The winger is rated highly at Anfield and has so far garnered praise for his on-field performances.

Now Lijnders has opened up about the exciting on-field traits of the young attacker and stressed that the club are helping Doak develop as much as they can.

He further added that the squad are also improved by the presence of a player of Doak’s calibre and the starlet’s hunger for good performances is even helpful for the experienced footballers.

He has this low centre of gravity.

“A really interesting player”, Lijnders told a press conference.

All the guys are really trying to help him.

“It is nice for young players to be in our squad and it is nice for the older players to have youngsters with this hunger.

Reds boss Jurgen Klopp is well regarded for his penchant for handing opportunities to youngsters.

And it remains to be seen how the Scottish star will develop further under the tutelage of Klopp moving forward.
