The last meeting between the two sides was in a pre-season friendly back in July when Moyes’ side beat Tottenham 3-2 in what was Postecoglou’s first game in charge.

A lot has happened since then with Tottenham managing their best league start in 57 years by managing to win their first ten league games and then losing three in succession.

After managing to stop the fall with a 3-3 draw against Manchester City, Postecoglou’s side are now preparing to face West Ham yet again and the former Celtic manager has urged caution, though he reminds everyone of the fact that a lot has transpired since that pre-season loss.

“Things have changed a fair bit since then”, Postecoglou said at a press conference.

“Of course, we have been scouting the team. You know with David [Moyes], he’s been a presence in the Premier League for such a long time.

“He always puts out teams that are very competitive, so you have to be at your best to get anything from his sides.

“He has some real quality in his West Ham side and we will have to play at our best level to get something out of the game.”

Two of the three losses Tottenham have suffered so far this season have come for them at their home.
