Former Leeds United star Andy Couzens believes the Whites have a great chance to put pressure on Leicester City and Ipswich Town by winning their early game on Boxing Day today.
The Yorkshire giants are set to face Preston North End away from home at Deepdale this afternoon.
Leeds are coming into the game high on confidence following their 4-0 demolition of Ipswich Town at Elland Road on Saturday.
They are now seven points off the automatic promotion spots and Daniel Farke will be hopeful that his team will avoid a slip-up at Preston today.
Leeds are playing in the early kick-off today and Couzens believes a win at Preston would put real pressure on the top two – Leicester and Ipswich – who will face each other at Portman Road in the evening.
The former White took to X and wrote: “Game day again!
“Time to put pressure on the top 2 with a win before everyone else plays!!
“Come on Leeds.”
Leeds last played against Preston in the Championship exactly four years ago on Boxing Day in 2019.
