Fabrizio Ravanelli is not sure about Juventus’ interest in Newcastle United target Kalvin Phillips given his lack of game time for Manchester City.

Phillips is expected to leave Manchester City in the winter transfer window after spending another half a season on the fringes of Pep Guardiola’s squad.

Manchester City want a substantial loan fee, but are prepared to let Phillips complete a temporary move in the January window.

Newcastle are in talks with Manchester City over getting Phillips and he is also a big target for Serie A giants Juventus.

However, former Premier League and Serie A striker Ravanelli is not certain that Juventus should try and sign the England midfielder in the winter window.

He pointed out that Phillips has played very little football since joining Manchester City in 2022 and is unlikely to make an impact at Juventus.

The former Bianconeri was quoted as saying by Tutto Mercato when asked about Phillips: “He hasn’t played for two years.

“I don’t think he will be useful to Juventus.”

Phillips wants assurances over regular game time before making the choice of his next club in January.
