Aston Villa have tabled a bid for Hellas Verona winger Cyril Ngonge but the Italian club want more money, according to Italian journalist Nicolo Schira.
The Belgian winger has been incessantly linked with a move away from Hellas Verona in the ongoing transfer window.
Fiorentina are interested in snapping up the attacker and have been in talks with Hellas Verona over a potential deal.
However, Aston Villa are the ones who are really pushing hard to take the winger to England and have put in a bid to signal their intentions.
It has been claimed that the Villans tabled a bid worth €10m to secure a deal to sign Ngonge in the ongoing window.
However, their offer is short of Hellas Verona’s financial demands as they are looking to sell him at a premium.
The Serie A outfit want a deal of around €15m before agreeing to let the attacker leave this month.
It remains to be seen whether Villa get close or match Hellas Verona’s asking price for the wide man.
Ngonge has scored five times in 17 Serie A appearances this season and has more than two years left on his contract.
