Tottenham Hotspur have made fresh contact with Genoa over signing defender Radu Dragusin, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.

Spurs have identified the Romania international as the man they want to land to boost Ange Postecoglou’s defensive options.

They are in competition with Napoli for Dragusin and though he would prefer a move to Spurs, he has not closed the door on Napoli.

A fee between Tottenham and Genoa has yet to be agreed, and now Spurs have made fresh contact with the Rossoblu.

Genoa are insisting that Tottenham commit to a guaranteed fee of €30m.

Spurs have been looking to get close to the asking price through the use of add-ons and bonuses.

It is claimed that Tottenham are expected to put a formal proposal on Genoa’s table soon.

Talks between the parties are tipped to continue over the weekend, amid Dragusin having already agreed personal terms with Tottenham.
