Galatasaray have established official contact with Rangers star Ridvan Yilmaz, but a move to Turkey is not a priority for the left-back.

The 22-year-old left-back joined Rangers in the summer of 2022 but failed to make an immediate impact in the first team.

In the ongoing season, Yilmaz has featured 13 times in the league so far, but his performances have yet to convince his doubters.

He is garnering interest from several clubs in the ongoing transfer window, with Italian outfits Verona and Torino and Turkish outfit Galatasaray interested in his services.

According to Turkish broadcaster Sports Digitale, Galatasaray have contacted Yilmaz over a potential move to Turkey in winter.

However, it has been suggested that the Rangers star does not consider a move to Turkey his priority in the ongoing window.

Yilmaz does not want to go back to the Turkish Super Lig yet and Verona and Torino are in talks with the left-back’s agent.

Now all eyes will be on Galatasaray to see whether they can convince Yilmaz to take him back to Turkey this month.
