Crystal Palace are set to compete for the signature of Sunderland star and West Ham United target Jack Clarke, according to the Evening Standard.

Sunderland winger Clarke is in brilliant form this season and has scored 12 times in 26 league appearances for the Black Cats in the ongoing campaign.

His performances have attracted suitors from the Premier League and West Ham are monitoring his situation.

West Ham have stepped up their search for a forward after Lucas Paqueta and Jarrod Bowen’s injury issues.

Crystal Palace are also in the market for a forward after Michael Olise being sidelined due to a hamstring injury.

It has been claimed that Crystal Palace have joined the hunt for Sunderland talent Clarke and are considering a bid for him.

However, West Ham and Crystal Palace are not the only Premier League outfits interested in the Black Cats star, as it has been suggested that three more clubs, including Brentford, are keen on landing Clarke in the winter window.

Sunderland are keen on keeping Clarke at the Stadium of Light, but an offer in the region of £20m might make them rethink their position on the forward.
