Ipswich Town attacker Freddie Ladapo is set to undergo a medical at League One side Charlton Athletic today, according to talkSPORT.

Charlton are moving to back boss Michael Appleton in this month’s transfer window and he wants more attacking options.

The Addicks are set to snap up Port Vale striker Uche Ikpeazu and they want to have another body brought into the building too.

Ipswich’s Ladapo is the man Charlton are moving to sign and the Tractor Boys star will have a medical at the Addicks today.

It is unclear what the exact terms of the deal are, but Ipswich look poised to offload Ladapo.

The Tractor Boys want to add to their own attacking options during this month’s window as they seek promotion to the Premier League.

They are however letting Ladapo go and he will be put through his medical checks at Charlton today.

Charlton are long time admirers of Ladapo and will now work quickly to push the deal over the line officially.
