Sheffield United are eyeing a raid on Atletico Madrid for goalkeeper Ivo Grbic, according to BBC Radio Sheffield.

Blades boss Chris Wilder is keen to do business before the transfer window closes this month as his team fight for survival.

Between the sticks is one area that Wilder would like to beef up and his eyes have been drawn to Spain.

The Bramall Lane outfit are looking at Atletico Madrid shot-stopper Grbic, who is a target.

Grbic, 28, has played the role of a backup goalkeeper at Atletico Madrid this season and has not made an appearance for the club in the current campaign.

The Croatian custodian did made 12 appearances in La Liga last term, during which he kept a clean sheet three times.

Grbic’s contract at Atletico Madrid is due to run out in the summer.

He could be tempted by the prospect of a move to the Premier League with Sheffield United.
