Tottenham Hotspur have continued to monitor Conor Gallagher’s situation at Stamford Bridge despite Chelsea’s inflated asking price for him, according to The Athletic.

Gallagher has 18 months left on his contract and he is yet to be offered a new deal by Chelsea.

Mauricio Pochettino has been pushing Chelsea to offer him a new contract and the player is also not keen to leave the Blues

However, the west London club are prepared to sell him if a club are willing to match their £50m asking price in the ongoing window.

Tottenham have been chasing him since last summer but there are suggestions they are unlikely to meet Chelsea’s demands.

However, it has been claimed that Gallagher is still being monitored by the north London club despite the inflated fee.

He is admired at Tottenham and they are keeping tabs on his situation to see who blinks first in the contract stand-off.

A move could materialise if Chelsea become desperate to sell him towards the end of the window to raise funds and become flexible on the fee.
