Bolton Wanderers are ready to snap up Liverpool full-back Calvin Ramsay in what will be a shock move for the League One side, according to journalist Alan Nixon.

The 20-year-old has returned to Anfield after his season-long loan spell at Preston North End was cut short.

He is set to be sent out yet again though, as the Merseyside club hope to see him play more first-team football.

League One side Bolton Wanderers have entered the race and are ready to snap the player up in the coming days.

However, it will be somewhat of a shock given how well-stocked the club are in the right-back position where Ramsey will fill in.

The need will be to give Ramsay more game time than was possible in the first half of the campaign.

Bolton currently sit in second place in the League One table and are in a real promotion battle.

Yet another Liverpool player Conor Bradley excelled at the Toughsheet Community Stadium last season.
