Liverpool are loaning out defender Billy Koumentio to Championship club Blackburn Rovers, according to Sky Sports News.
Blackburn boss Jon Dahl Tomasson wants to boost his defensive options before the window closes and has turned to Anfield for a solution.
Defender Koumentio is set to answer Blackburn’s SOS and join the club on a loan deal until the end of the season.
Going out on loan away from Liverpool will not be a new experience for the France-born centre-back.
Koumetio has had loan stints in Austria, with Austria Vienna, and also in his native France at Dunkerque.
Liverpool will be looking to see the defender play on a regular basis during his time at Ewood Park.
It is unclear if Blackburn have made any guarantees over playing time to Koumetio.
The defender made his senior team debut for Liverpool in a Champions League clash in 2020.
