Aberdeen boss Neil Warnock has warned Rangers that the Dons are ready to have a go against them tonight and stressed that anything is possible for his side.

Rangers are three points short of league leaders Celtic and tonight they have an opportunity to catch up with their city rivals if they are able to win against Warnock’s Aberdeen.

The Pittodrie outfit have appointed Warnock as their manager after parting ways with Barry Robson and Aberdeen’s game against Rangers is going to be the 75-year-old tactician’s first game in the dugout as Dons boss.

The 75-year-old tactician believes that Aberdeen’s league form does not matter going into the game against Rangers and stressed that his side are capable of doing anything.

Warnock stated that Aberdeen are focused on the game at Ibrox and added that they will have a go at Rangers tonight.

“Well, anything is possible. I think they will be disappointed with how their form has gone in the league when you look at previous years, but that has gone out of the window now”, Warnock told Sky Sports Scotland.

“We just have to concentrate on what is in front of us.

“When you get to my age, you just look at what is there and you do not worry about what is going to happen in x amount of time.

“So that is what we are going to do.

“We will have a go against Rangers and see what we can do, then we are on to the cup game on Saturday.”

Aberdeen won 3-1 against Rangers last time when they met each other at Ibrox in the Scottish Premiership and they will be looking to repeat that result.
