Gordon Dalziel has insisted that Celtic are not going to win the Scottish Premiership title this season if they do not improve their performance levels.
Celtic needed an injury-time Adam Idah penalty to beat an out-of-form Hibernian side 2-1 at Easter Road on Wednesday night.
They again have a three-point cushion over Rangers in the Scottish Premiership league table albeit playing a game more than their Glasgow rivals.
However, former top flight attacker Dalziel indicated that the performance levels of the Celtic team are not inspiring any confidence among their fans.
He insisted that if Celtic continue to perform at their current level, they are not going to win the league at the end of the season given how Rangers are playing at the moment.
Dalziel said on Clyde 1’s Superscoreboard: “You look at the overall picture.
“Just now, if Celtic continue to play on this path, and a lot of Celtic fans will agree, they aren’t going to win the league.
“They aren’t going to win the league playing like that.”
Celtic will be in Scottish Cup fifth-round action this weekend away at St. Mirren.
They will be back in Scottish Premiership action the following weekend with a game against Kilmarnock at Celtic Park.
