Former Norwich City star Iwan Roberts has revealed he has heard that Celtic loan star Adam Idah is not the best from a dietary point of view and is hoping the Bhoys spell can help him.
Celtic signed the 22-year-old centre forward on loan from Championship outfit Norwich in the recently closed transfer window; the loan does not contain an option to buy.
Idah has begun his Celtic career impressively by managing to score twice while assisting once in his first two games for the Bhoys.
Roberts thinks that Idah needed to be sent away from Norwich to get a fresh start in his career and he believes that working under Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers might help him recover his form.
“Going out last week was Adam Idah, who has joined a magnificent football club in Celtic with an unbelievable fan base”, Roberts wrote in his Pink Un column.
“It might be just what he needs – a bit of a kick up the backside.”
The former top flight striker revealed that he has heard Idah does not live the best of lives off the pitch due to his diet and is hoping that his time in Scotland may help on that front.
“I’ve heard one or two things about the way he lives his life.
“Not that he’s out all the time partying and drinking, but dietary wise, the stuff that he puts into his body isn’t great.
“Sometimes you just need a fresh start, a new environment, a different voice, different ideas, a different man who’s going to lead you, give you instructions and tactics and what he expects from you.”
The 22-year-old centre forward will be hoping that he can help Celtic retain the Scottish Premiership this season and impress in Bhoys colours before he goes back to Carrow Road at the end of the season.
