Charlton Athletic star George Dobson is to fly out to Hungary on Monday to seal a move to Fehervar, according to journalist Louis Mendez.

Dobson has been strongly linked with an exit from the Valley in recent weeks and is now edging closer to sealing one.

The midfielder is heading to start a new chapter in his career in Hungary.

Dobson will fly out to Hungary on Monday to be put through his medical paces by Fehervar and then put pen to paper to a contract.

The transfer window remains open in Hungary until 14th February.

Wearing the captain’s armband, Dobson has turned out 29 times in League One for Charlton so far this season, being booked eight times.

His current deal at Charlton is due to run until the summer.

Fehervar currently sit in third spot in the Hungarian top flight, six points behind league leaders Ferencvaros.
