Former Scotland star John Robertson has written off Rangers’ chances of winning the title as he thinks they must win their final six games, which he cannot see them doing.

Rangers were stunned by second bottom Ross County on Sunday in the Scottish Premiership, suffering a 3-2 loss despite having led 1-0 at half-time.

The result leaves Rangers sitting four points behind league leaders Celtic, although they do have a game in hand.

For Robertson, Rangers now need to win their final six games, and that includes going to Celtic Park and beating Celtic in the Old Firm clash.

He admits that is something he cannot see happening and as such he does not believe Rangers will win the title.

“Rangers now have to go to Celtic Park and win”, Robertson said on BBC Sportsound.

“Celtic know that if they draw with Rangers and win their other four matches, they win the title.

“Rangers cannot make any more mistakes.

“They must win the last six matches of the season to win the title and, based on today’s performance, I can’t see them doing it.”

Rangers have an opportunity to quickly bounce back when they head to face Dundee on Wednesday evening.

Anything less than three points at Dens Park could likely spell the end of their title bid.
