Real Betis are prepared to try to re-sign Giovani Lo Celso from Tottenham Hotspur in approaching transfer window, with emissaries ‘testing the conditions’ with Spurs for a deal.
The 28-year-old midfielder is in the final year of his contract at Tottenham and he has been a bit-part player at Spurs this season.
Lo Celso is believed to be keen on moving on from Tottenham and Spurs are also expected to be open to offers for him given his contractual situation.
The Argentinian left Real Betis to join Spurs in 2019 and the Spanish club are keen to take him back this summer.
According to Spanish outlet Be Soccer Betis, the La Liga club are weighing up the chance of getting their hands on him in the next transfer window.
Betis emissaries were in London last month and ‘testing the conditions’ that Spurs would look for to let him go.
They were investigating what Tottenham’s stance is in order to assess getting a deal over the line to take the Argentinian back to Betis.
A move is still being pondered upon but Betis would likely need to sell players to afford to sign Lo Celso this summer.
