Erik ten Hag will likely have to wait until next week to learn about his fate as Manchester United manager, according to Manchester World.

Ten Hag has a groundswell of support amongst Manchester United fans after he won the FA Cup at Wembley on Saturday.

He was expected to be sacked regardless of the result but Manchester United have not made a decision yet.

The club are conducting a thorough review of the season amongst their powerbrokers and are keen to see beyond the uplifting Wembley triumph.

However, it has been claimed that no decision on Ten Hag’s future will be communicated by the end of the week.

The Dutchman is only likely to learn about his fate as Manchester United manager next week.

Manchester United have held talks with representatives of potential Ten Hag replacements but want to take time before taking a final call.

They finished eighth in the Premier League standings with a negative goal difference and were at the bottom of a seemingly comfortable Champions League group.
