Rangers are set to miss out on the signature of Bayern Munich winger Yusuf Kabadayi this summer, who is staying in the Bundesliga.

Kabadayi spent last season on loan at Schalke in the second tier and only has a year left on his contract with the German giants.

The winger has been discussing his future with the Bavarians and has been expected to move on from the club this summer.

Rangers are amongst several clubs who showed an interest in signing the player in the ongoing transfer window.

However, according to German magazine Sport Bild (via Kicker), the Glasgow giants are not the club Kabadayi will join this summer.

The 20-year-old winger has given his consent to a move to Bundesliga club FC Augsburg on a permanent deal.

He has already agreed a four-year deal with the club and will soon be put through a medical ahead of the move going through.

Rangers like the winger and were keen on him but will now have to look at alternative targets in the ongoing transfer window.
