Dele Alli will not play for Everton in their friendly against Sligo Rovers on Friday, according to Sky Sports News.
Alli is out of contract at Everton this summer, but following talks with Tottenham Hotspur, the Toffees are free to offer him a new deal.
He is taking part in pre-season as he bids to impress boss Sean Dyche and travelled to Ireland with the squad recently.
Everton are due to face Irish side Sligo Rovers in a friendly on Friday at 4pm.
It had been thought that Alli could feature in the game, however he will play no part in it.
The midfielder will have to wait for another chance to impress Dyche on the pitch.
Everton are due to take on Salford City in a friendly later this month, while Coventry City provide the opposition on 30th July.
Preston North End take on Everton in early August, while the Toffees’ final game before the start of the new season comes at home to Roma.
