Stoke City have booked a medical for former Blackburn Rovers man Andrew Moran on Friday, according to the Daily Telegraph.

Moran is on the books at Premier League side Brighton, but they farmed him out on loan to Blackburn last season.

He featured regularly for the Ewood Park outfit and ended the campaign with 35 Championship appearances to his name, with two goals and six assists.

Stoke saw enough of Moran to want him in the Potteries and a loan deal has been struck with Brighton.

Moran, 20, has been booked in for a medical with Stoke on Friday as the Potters move to close out the deal.

If there are no issues, Moran will become Stoke’s seventh signing of the summer transfer window.

He faced Stoke twice last season and scored and assisted in Blackburn’s 3-0 away win against the Potters in November.

Brighton will be keeping a close eye on Moran’s development throughout the course of the season at Stoke.
