Luton Town are in ‘advanced negotiations’ with Belgian side Standard Liege as they try to bring in defender Nathan Ngoy.
The Hatters are in the market for additions before the window closes and are looking to strengthen at centre-back.
They have now zeroed in on Standard Liege defender Ngoy and are working to bring him to the Championship.
According to Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri, negotiations between Luton and Standard Liege are advanced.
The discussions are taking place based on a transfer fee which would be close to €5m.
Ngoy is already happy with the terms on offer on a long-term contract at Luton and is ready to make the move.
The 21-year-old made 15 appearances in the Belgian top flight for Standard Liege last season and was booked six times, also being sent off once.
Ngoy has been capped by Belgium through to Under-19s level and is rated as a promising prospect.
