QPR manager Harry Redknapp has confirmed Loic Remy’s move to Loftus Road from Marseille is done and dusted and explained he is also close to snapping up Yann M’Vila from Rennes.

Remy had a medical with QPR yesterday after sensationally backing out of a switch to Newcastle in favour of a relegation battle at the Rs.

Team-mate Stephane Mbia has confirmed that the 26-year-old is joining him at Loftus Road and now Redknapp admitted he has got his man after QPR beat West Brom in the FA Cup last night.

"Remy has had a medical today, so that’s all sorted", Redknapp was quoted as saying by the BBC, post-match.

"M’Vila, I think we’re very close", he added.

Snapping up Remy and M’Vila for QPR would be a real statement of intent from Redknapp.

Both were players he chased during his time as Tottenham Hotspur manager and each have been linked with clubs in a much loftier position than QPR.

Redknapp also explained that he has had an offer turned down for West Brom striker Peter Odemwingie though. Signing Remy will quickly dispel any disappointment that news might have brought however.
