Chelsea winger Mohamed Salah has thanked his team-mates for their continuous support, which he believes has helped him to "settle in".

Having arrived at Stamford Bridge during January, the 21-year-old is still at a nascent stage in his career in England, but a goal against Arsenal last weekend was enough to start him on his way with the Pensioners.

The Egyptian was overwhelmed by the response from his team-mates and manager after he gently placed the ball under an advancing Wojciech Szczesny.

"It's very important for me and it's great for my confidence", Salah told his club's official site.

"It was very nice to see the reaction of my team-mates when I scored. They have really helped me settle in."

Landing during the middle of the season from a completely different league and settling in is certainly a difficult task, the former Basel player admits.

But Salah claims to have taken to his role well and learned a lot from his new team-mates, both young as well as experienced.

"Here in England it's very different to playing in Switzerland.

"It's the best league in the world and it's more difficult here because every player is so strong and aggressive. The games are quicker, too.

"I have already learned a lot from the players we have here.

"We have many good players in the team. There are also a lot of young players so we are able to learn from each other and that is very helpful", Salah added.
