Former England manager Fabio Capello feels that Chelsea captain John Terry should feature in the Three Lions squad, saying that the centre-back is one of the best there is.
Capello, now managing Russia, was at the helm of the England national team from 2008 until his resignation in February 2012. The Italian left his post after Terry was stripped of his national team’s captaincy following racism allegations.
Terry was later acquitted following a trial in the summer of 2012 and he retired from the national team in September 2012, having won 78 caps.
The 34-year-old has enjoyed a stellar campaign under Jose Mourinho at Chelsea this term, having made 42 appearances in all competitions thus far and winning the League Cup in the process.
Having taken a commanding seven-point lead over second placed Arsenal in the Premier League, Chelsea appear on course to win the league title. And the 68-year-old feels that England would be better off with Terry in their ranks.

“It's better to have a player like John Terry than not”, Capello was quoted as saying by the BBC.
“He is one of the best.
“England haven't got a lot of defenders but they sometimes have problems.”
However, the well-travelled manager conceded that the chances of Terry featuring in the Three Lions squad are remote.
“But I don't think he has the chances to play with the national team anymore.”
