Chelsea midfielder Ramires feels a “good victory” will help his side to put their stuttering campaign back on track.

The Premier League champions, who lost 1-0 to Stoke City before the international break, are currently 16th in the standings with just 11 points from 12 games.

The Blues have already lost seven games in the league, four more than they did in the whole of last season.

However Ramires, who insisted that the mood at Stamford Bridge is not somber, explained that his team-mates are working hard to return to winning ways.

The Brazilian international further added that he believes a nice win will help his side to regain their lost confidence and turn around their indifferent season.

“As far as the mood is concerned, it is fine. We are training and working hard. We are doing the best we can to get out of this situation we have put ourselves in”, he told the club’s official magazine.

“I think the team has a good mentality, but when you don’t have victories you lose some confidence and we need to come back and start winning games again.

“When we have a good victory, where the team plays well and all of us return to our best, then the confidence will come back and our situation will change.”

Ramires, whose present deal with Chelsea runs until 2019, has made 15 appearances in all competitions for the club this season, scoring three times.

The 28-year-old’s side will next face Norwich City on Saturday.
