Adeniran, who was part of David Unsworth’s Everton Under-23s side that claimed the Premier League 2 trophy in the 2018/19 term, has joined the Chairboys on a season-long loan deal.

The 21-year-old has trained with Toffees boss Carlo Ancelotti’s first-team squad, but is yet to make his senior breakthrough at Everton and started the current season with the club’s Under-23s before leaving for the Buckinghamshire outfit.

Ainsworth believes the young midfielder has all the qualities to thrive at Adams Park and backed him to become a key player for his new club as the season progresses.

The 47-year-old revealed Adeniran’s arrival at Wycombe comes at a key time, as he is short in the middle of the park at the moment and the Chairboys boss is confident the young midfielder can develop his game significantly under his watchful eye.

“Dennis is an exciting young talent who has all the attributes to become a really important player for us this season”, Ainsworth told Wycombe’s official site.

“He’s a really energetic, box-to-box midfielder, and comes here eager to learn and develop his game, which we believe he can do just like many other young loanees who’ve joined us early in their careers.

“We’ve had a few injury and suspension problems in the middle of the park so Dennis arrives at a key time and adds extra competition for places.”

Adeniran joined Everton in the summer of 2017 on a four-year deal and is into the final 12 months of his contract at Goodison Park.
