Bielsa is known for his intense work ethic and his obsession to get even the minutest of detail right on the training pitch ahead of every game.
Leeds have benefited from the Argentine’s obsession and Lopez got a taste of it when he worked under Bielsa at French giants Marseille.
Lopez is now at Sassuolo on loan and claimed that coach De Zerbi’s work on the training pitch mirrors Bielsa when it comes to an obsession with detail.
He also revealed that the Sassuolo coach also does a lot of tactical work on the training pitch and obsesses about every detail in order to prepare for a game thoroughly.
The Sassuolo midfielder told French radio station RMC: “Coach De Zerbi reminds me a bit of Bielsa when it comes to details.
“He is a detail fanatic.
“We do a lot of tactics in training and he is really into detail, everything has to be precise.
“He wants the movements to be done in detail because he knows that if we do it well, we will get out of the situation.”
Sassuolo have made a solid start this season in Italy and are second in the league table after six games, winning four of them.
