The 28-year-old striker joined Newcastle from Bournemouth in the transfer window and has made a brilliant start to life as a Magpie.
He has scored six goals in his first seven league games for Newcastle and has quickly emerged as the talisman up front for the north east giants.

With Gareth Southgate set to name his England squad for the upcoming international games, there is a growing call for Wilson to get into the Three Lions set-up.
Wilson has not played for England since last year but Bruce believes that given the goals he has scored, the striker deserves a chance to be in the national team squad again.
He believes it would not only be recognition for the player himself but for Newcastle as well.
Bruce said in a press conference when asked if Wilson deserves a chance with England: “It’s hard enough to pick my own team.
“But given the amount of goals he’s scored he must be in with a shout.
“We are all hoping that Callum gets into the England squad.
“It would be great recognition for him and Newcastle.
“Although there’s a bit of me that wants to give him a few days off.”
Wilson already has four England caps to his name and is keen to add more to his collection.
