Marcelo Bielsa’s men have earned plaudits for their high intensity attacking style of football since making the leap into the top flight this season.

Leeds have won three of their opening eight league games, while losing four, and went in to the current international break on the back of consecutive 4-1 defeats against Leicester City and Crystal Palace, raising questions about their defensive solidity having so far shipped in 17 goals in the league.

But Parker has backed Leeds to get their season back on track as he is of the view that as long as the Whites stick to their style of play and do not abandon their footballing philosophy, results will come for them as the season unfolds.

The former Leeds star conceded that there are several holes in their game that the Whites need to plug, but urged Bielsa’s men to focus on the positives and keep pushing harder.

“To be fair, I think a lot of groups of teams so far in the Premier League, they are in the same situation as us, done well in parts, could improve in others and it is going to be a season like that”, Parker said on LUTV.

“But as long as we just keep remaining true to ourselves, what we like to do, our philosophy, closing down working hard.

“Do not change because you have a couple of bad results, you are going to get that throughout the course of the season.

“But focus on the positives, and just tweak a little bit of those few negatives as well.”

Leeds are currently 15th in the league table and will back in top flight action on 22nd November when they play host to Arsenal at Elland Road.
