Appointing Bielsa as the club’s coach ahead of the 2018/19 campaign proved to be a gamechanger, in terms of earning Premier League promotion, for Leeds.
The Argentine tactician instantly took the Whites, who had finished 13th in the Championship before his arrival, to the playoff semi-finals before making them champions in his second season at the club.
Having made a decent start in the Premier League as well, Bielsa appears to have taken little time in making the Leeds players buy into his methods.
However, former Leeds star Watt is of the view that Whites supremo Radrizzani also deserves credit for Bielsa’s instant impact at the club, for providing the head coach with the right platform to achieve success.
“Yea that’s true [on Bielsa taking little time get his plans across] but the new owner Andrea Radrizzani played a big part with that“, Watt wrote on Twitter.
“He made him trust his vision… gave him what he needed and made his transition easy.
“I watched the [Take Us Home] documentary.“
Since the day of Bielsa’s appointment, Radrizzani has continued to give the head coach the necessary support, as evident from Leeds’ activity in the last transfer window.
