Since his permanent move to Ibrox in the summer of 2020, following an initial six-month loan stint from Belgium outfit Genk, Hagi has continued to step up his game under the tutelage of Steven Gerrard.
The Romanian has played a part in 24 of the Gers 29 Scottish Premiership games so far this season and has caught the eye recently with a succession of strong displays on the pitch.
And the midfielder revealed his ability to find a balance in his game, with him undergoing mental and physical transformation, has been standing him in good stead since the start of the current campaign, which has reflected in his performances on the pitch.
Hagi, who is happy with his progress under Gerrard, admits he has a lot of room to improve but feels he is on the right path to achieving his true potential going forward in his career
“In the summer when I came back, I think a lot of things changed from nutrition to pre-training, post training, gym wise, off on the pitch”, Hagi told Rangers TV.
“So individually, I think I grew a lot.
“I changed a lot as a player and to be honest it was not the easiest thing because I could sometimes feel it on the pitch.
“Things change your body changes so obviously I had to adapt and also play good for the team.
“So, I think I had this balance and I managed it quite well and I think I still have a lot of things to improve but I see myself on a good path.”
Hagi made his third league start on the trot in Rangers 1-0 win against Kilmarnock at the weekend and is again expected to play a part when his team travel to Belgium to take on Royal Antwerp in the Europa League on Thursday.
