Onyango made his debut for the Toffees senior team last month in the FA Cup and has been a regular presence on the bench in the Premier League under Carlo Ancelotti since the turn of the year.
The 17-year-old is increasingly involved with the senior squad and has shared the training pitch with the likes of Tom Davies, an Everton academy graduate.
Onyango’s Everton Under-18s team-mate Warrington has revealed the newly minted senior starlet told him that Davies’ takes no shortcuts when it comes to putting up the hard yards on the training pitch.
Warrington, who sees Davies as a role model, added that he analyses the 22-year-old’s game and takes whatever he can to fine tune his own craft.
“I love watching Tom”, Warrington told Everton’s official site.
“He has been playing exceptionally well in the past few weeks.
“It’s good to see and I analyse his game and see what I can take from it to improve.
“He just shows that you can have ups and downs, but you can come through it if you have the right attitude.
“Tyler Onyango, who has been up with the First Team, tells me Tom is a great trainer – that he works so hard and is probably one of the best players when he trains.
“That’s what you want to be like.”
Everton Under-18s are gearing up for a Merseyside derby against their Liverpool counterparts at the weekend and will be keen on emulating the senior team’s success by returning from the Reds’ academy with a win.
