But it has been claimed that Chelsea are determined that they will be able to sign their former striker this summer.
There are claims that a bid of around €110m to €120m will compel Inter to sell the forward in the ongoing transfer window.
Lukaku has reportedly rejected multiple contract offers from Chelsea, but those claims have been rubbished.
Despite his public pronouncements, it has been suggested that Lukaku could consider returning to Chelsea this summer.
For the moment, Inter want to resist selling him but that could change if the Belgian becomes open to a move back to Stamford Bridge.
