Newcastle United have officially named their starting side and substitutes to host Premier League leaders Chelsea at St James’ Park this afternoon.

The feel-good factor is still gripping the Magpies following the recently completed takeover and interim boss Graeme Jones is looking to capitalise on it.

Newcastle grabbed a 1-1 draw away at Crystal Palace last time out, but have not won a game yet this season, something Jones will be desperate to change.

They face a Chelsea side who thrashed Norwich City 7-0 last weekend though and who have conceded just three goals in the league this term.

Jones has Karl Darlow in goal, while in defence he selects Javier Manquillo, Matt Ritchie, Jamaal Lascelles, Ciaran Clark and Emil Krafth.

Further up the pitch the interim boss selects Isaac Hayden and Sean Longstaff in midfield, while Ryan Fraser also plays. Allan Saint-Maximin will look to create for Callum Wilson.

If Jones needs to make changes then he has options on the bench, including Joelinton and Miguel Almiron.
