Mazraoui has entered the final year of his deal at Ajax and a contract extension is currently not in sight.

The right-back’s situation at the Dutch giants has seen him attract interest from abroad, with Spanish giants Barcelona along with Premier League side Leeds keen on him, while he has also piqued the interest from Brighton, Manchester City and Arsenal.

Barcelona hierarchy have contacted Mazraoui’s agent Mino Raiola and it has been claimed they could even push for a move in the upcoming window.

However, according to Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf, Ajax are firmly against letting the Moroccan leave the club in January and are not open to negotiating any kind of deal with any potential suitors.

The 24-year-old is a fixture under De Godenzonen coach Erik ten Hag and he wants him at his disposal for the remainder of the season.

Ajax are battling it out with PSV Eindhoven and Feyenoord at the top of the Eredivisie standings and Ten Hag sees Mazraoui playing a key role under him as they look to clinch a third top flight title on the trot.

It remains to be seen where Mazraoui will end up playing next as he looks likely to become a free agent next summer with the likes of Leeds and Barcelona looking on with prying eyes.
