The 20-year-old French defender has been on the radar of big clubs in Europe for a while but Monaco have managed to keep hold of him longer than many anticipated.

Manchester United made a move for him in 2020, but Monaco rejected their offer and kept the defender at the Stade Louis II.

But the interest from the Premier League has not disappeared and Wolves are now interested in taking him to England.

And according to French sports daily L’Equipe, Monaco rejected an initial approach from Wolves for the 20-year-old centre-back.

Wolves have been keeping tabs on him for a while and are keen to snare him away from the French club.

They are believed to be prepared to offer €30m for Badiashile but Monaco were quick to reject the approach.

The player is also not looking to leave Monaco in January and is willing to wait until the summer.

However, there is also interest from Newcastle and the Magpies are closely watching developments with a view to seeing if a deal to sign Badiashile could be done before the transfer window shuts this month.
