Both Burnley and Watford secured wins at the weekend, with Dyche’s Clarets shocking Brighton with a 3-0 win on the south coast, while Hodgson’s Hornets grabbed a 1-0 victory at Aston Villa.

Leeds meanwhile went down to a 4-2 defeat at home against Manchester United and are now just five points above the drop zone, while Brentford, another club Neville fears for, are six points from danger.

Despite being second from bottom, Burnley have lost just nine games this season, compared to Leeds’ eleven and Brentford’s 14.

And Neville thinks that with Dyche and Hodgson knowing what they are doing in the Premier League, both clubs could rise out of the drop zone, dragging Leeds into trouble, along with Brentford.

“Leeds and Brentford are I think in danger of getting dragged in by [the] resilient Roy Hodgson and Sean Dyche”, Neville said on the Gary Neville podcast.

“They’ve been round the block, they know how to do it, they’re not going to panic.

“They know they are going to lose matches, they might lose games badly, but they know how to go and get shock results and win two or three games on the bounce and all of a sudden its completely flipped on its head.”

Burnley are set to play host to Tottenham Hotspur at Turf Moor on Wednesday, while on the same night Watford welcome Crystal Palace to Vicarage Road and Leeds head to Anfield to face Liverpool.
