The Gers dropped more points at the weekend when they only managed a 1-1 draw at Dundee United and allowed Celtic to build on their lead at the top of the league table.

Rangers dominated the game and had 30 attempts on the Dundee United goal and Ferguson conceded that Van Bronckhorst cannot complain about the overall performance of his side.

He insisted that Rangers dominated the game, created the chances but just lacked the necessary killer instinct in front of goal, which cost them two points in the title race on Sunday.

However, Ferguson insisted that Rangers’ away form is a concern as they have picked up just four league points from their last four games on the road.

The Rangers legend said on the Go Radio Football Show: “I don’t think he can complain the way Rangers played.

“I watched the game and I thought they were impressive, they dominated the game.

“The only thing is they couldn’t put the ball in the back of the net and they created a number of chances.

“If you look back to the last four away games they have only got three points out of 12 and that would be of slight concern for Gio.

“The performance was good enough, they just didn’t have the ruthlessness in front of goal of, unfortunately.”

Rangers have a big European game against Dortmund on Thursday night before hosting Motherwell in the league next Sunday.
