Ramsey’s arrival at Rangers in January happened amidst much fanfare, with many feeling the Scottish giants pulled off a coup to sign him on loan from Juventus on favourable terms.

But the Welshman has made just one start since joining Rangers and has missed the last three games due to a fresh injury.

His failure to get himself going in Scotland has brought criticism towards Rangers and whether they needed to sign a player who has been struggling with injuries over the last few years.

But Dalziel feels that there is too much focus on Ramsey and he feels a bit of sympathy for a player who has found himself in a tough position at Rangers.

He insisted that none of Rangers’ winter transfer window signings have made a mark since their arrival.

The former Rangers star said on Clyde 1’s Superscoreboard: “We focus everything on Aaron Ramsey but I just feel for the boy.

“He is obviously over here to try and get some game time at a massive club who are trying to win the league.

“It has not happened.

“He has picked up an injury and you can say he has not contributed anything, but if you look at the signings in January for Rangers, I don’t think many of them have contributed.”

Ramsey will hope to make an impression in a Rangers shirt before his loan expires at the end of the season.
