A run of four wins from their last five league games has clawed Newcastle away from the relegation quagmire for the time being and they are now sitting 14th in the Premier League standings.

Newcastle spent big in January to rescue their season and are expected to go big again in the next transfer window if they remain in the Premier League.

The club have plans for recruitment in the summer but Howe insisted that he is not thinking about at that for the moment.

He stressed that his focus is on coaching the current squad of players and the recruitment will take care of itself as there are officials at Newcastle who are doing their jobs.

The Newcastle manager said in a press conference when asked about summer transfers: “I’ve put no energy towards that whatsoever, my job is coaching.

“That’s for other people at the club, quite rightly, spending time on recruitment.

“The future will take care of itself.”

Newcastle are hopeful that they will be able to sell their vision to enough top players in the summer in order to fast track their development as a football club.
