In spite of snapping up eleven points from their last five league games, the Whites still face the risk of being relegated from the Premier League due to teams below them picking up points in the last few games.

 

Ahead of yet another crucial game against defending champions Manchester City, their Brazilian winger has insisted that his team have been unlucky this season.

 

 

However, Raphinha remains confident that his side will eventually survive the scare and stay on to fight another season in the top flight.

 

“We’ve had some bad luck this season, but I think we will stay up”, Raphinha said in an interview with Sky Sports.

 

 

Assessing Jesse Marsch’s spell as the Leeds United manager thus far, the 25-year-old revealed that the American has brought belief back into the team.

 

“He came into the club at a difficult time, we’re still in a tough position but he’s brought our belief back.

 

 

“Even before he arrived he knew the players, what we had to offer as individuals and what we could achieve as a team.”

 

Leeds have both Burnley and Everton hot on their heels with the Clarets having taken seven points from their last three games, while the Toffees still have a game in hand over the Yorkshire giants.
