Mane is heavily linked with leaving Anfield this summer, having attracted strong interest from German giants Bayern Munich, who have seen the Reds turn down two bids for him.

While the Senegalese’s future remains under the scanner, there is also uncertainty around his fellow winger Salah’s future at Liverpool, with him also having only one season left on his current deal at the club.

Salah’s goalscoring record for the Reds is better than Mane’s, but former top flight star Nicholas insists that the Senegalese exiting Anfield would be a bigger loss for the Merseyside giants than seeing the Egyptian depart the club, as the former adds more to the team.

“Sadio Mane leaving Liverpool would be a bigger blow than losing Mo Salah”, Nicholas told Bonus Code Bets.

“Whilst Salah’s goalscoring record is better, Mane does a lot more for the team.”

Nicholas added that Liverpool should not spend over the odds to offer Salah a new contract at the club, even though he could depart for free in a year’s time.

“Liverpool should not break the bank to give Mo Salah a new contract.

“I have tremendous respect for what Salah has done, but this is Liverpool Football Club.

“They’ve returned to the heights and Jurgen Klopp has taken them to an incredible level.”

The Liverpool fans will be hoping their club will manage to keep both Mane and Salah beyond the summer, although Jurgen Klopp has given the green light to sell the Senegalese as he is keen on an exit.
