Evander has been with the Danish club since the summer of 2018, but enjoyed his best season for the club in terms of goals last time out.
Over the course of 47 matches, the attacking midfielder scored 17 goals and in addition also provided eleven assists.
Evander has a contract with Midtjylland that runs until the summer of 2025 and has already started four matches for them this season.
Rangers have taken a liking to the player and are aware of the player’s capabilities, due to having come up against him previously.
However, Rangers are unlikely to pull off his signing as, with three years remaining on his contract, they expect Midtjylland’s demands for the player to be too strenuous for them.
Evander came up against Rangers in the third qualifying round of the Europa League back in the 2019/20 season, where the Danish side lost but the attacking midfielder picked up a goal and an assist.
With seven signings this summer, it is claimed that Rangers may have put an end to incomings this window and only a significant injury or departure might force them back into the market.
